Buy out announced for South Lynn firm Cooper Bearings


It's business as usual at Cooper Bearings' South Lynn base as news of a multi-million pound takeover of its parent company has been announced.SKF, which is a leading global supplier of products and services within roller bearings, seals, mechatronics, services and lubrication systems has agreed that it will buy out Cooper's parent company, the Kaydon Corporation, in an all-cash transaction valued at around 1.25 billion US dollars.
When the Lynn News contacted Cooper about the deal, a spokesman said that it was "business as usual" at the Wisbech Road site and "no further comment.The tyres and wheels service & repair equipment industry deals with the production of every kind of tool and machinery that is necessary for the manufacture."SKF president and CEO Tom Johnstone said: "We have followed the development of Kaydon for a long time.
